Internship Details
Programs Run Spring & Fall Semester

  • Dates: Jan. 9 – May 22 & July 31 – Dec 11
  • Hours & Rate: 10 hours per week, $120/week, contract pay
  • Required: Mondays from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Other hours flexible but must be completed in LaunchGSO space or virtually between 8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday
    Required graduation year: 2022 – 2025

Applications Due: 3 weeks prior to start date. Interviews will be scheduled immediately, and notification will come via email 2 weeks prior.

LaunchLab is an accelerator program for entrepreneurs starting and growing companies. The program consists of two sessions: LaunchLab 101 and Growth Series. LaunchLab 101 will guide entrepreneurs through the vital start-up requirements from idea to launch, and the Growth Series will help existing companies to grow and scale their company. Experts and mentors are provided throughout the program. The cohort meets weekly at Launch Greensboro’s space at Transform GSO in downtown Greensboro. *SPRING & FALL 2022 PROGRAMS ARE CURRENTLY PLANNED TO BE IN PERSON BUT THIS COULD CHANGED BASED ON COVID OUTBREAKS.

Interns complete a wide variety of projects for the companies in LaunchLab. Interns should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of entrepreneurship.

Responsibilities
Attend weekly LaunchLab programming (evening), actively participating and engage in the program

  • Complete assigned projects as directed
  • Assist LaunchLab startups and entrepreneurs as needed. This could include but is not limited to the following:
    o Product Development
    o Website development
    o Financial model builds
    o Market research
    o Social media set-up & planning
    o Customer Discovery

Requirements

  • Be an undergraduate/graduate student in the Piedmont Triad area majoring in Finance/Accounting, Marketing, Business, Entrepreneurship, Communications, Computer Science
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with knowledge of web and social media
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Word and Excel (Adobe Design Programs are preferred)
  • Be collaborative, creative, and forward thinking
